Terrarium And Things
Update 2
Visited a store today that sells frogs more specifically bumblebee dart frogs. They looked very tiny and cute. Now I know the scale of what the terrarium size might end up being.
My wife and I are thinking about adopting four frogs. Not 100% on which dart frog will it be. Still trying to figure out the colors and sounds. I personally want to be able to see there eyes. 18x18x18 Seems like a good size for four frogs but we are thinking about going taller. Maybe even going wider to have double doors. Need to make mockups to have a better understanding.
Egg Crates is a nice solution for the base structure. Thinking about creating a forest mountain scene with slate rock stair water feature. Spray foam is great but I would like to create a overhang rock structure with hard foam pieces stacked instead. Maybe making some of them even look like rock with some sculpting.
In the store the base of the frog terrarium had gravel rocks for the water. A space for some good bacteria to live. Need to confirm if that is true. Definitely want a some kind of misty fog that is always rolling at the bottom of the terrarium. Want to create a very magical forrest vibe. Potential name and theme ‘Moss Mountain’. Can’t afford slate for our own home but bet they will look great with water and moss all over them.
